It’s The Final Week Before The Supplement Is Cut – Let’s Raise Our Voices!!

This week is the final week before the supplement is cut by $300 a fortnight, on September 25, affecting over 2 million people on JobSeeker, Youth Allowance, Parenting Payment, and other payments, here is how you can take action with us against these devastating cuts.

**Contact The Pollies. Use this week to write to or call your local Member of Parliament, and key decision-makers, Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Treasurer Josh Frydenberg.

Tell them what the $300 cut will mean for you, or the people you know. You can write to your MP here.

And if you would like to make calls alongside other supporters, register here for our fun, friendly Phone-Calling Party on Wednesday, 2pm-3pm AEST.

**Let’s Flood Social Media. Share a photo of food, with some text about what the $300 cut will mean for your ability to eat fresh, regular, nutritious meals. Or instead, take a photo with our Raise the Rate for Good sign.

Remember to tag the Raise the Rate page on Facebook and the ACOSS page on Twitter, and the hashtags: #RaisetheRateforGood and #CovertheBasics.

You might also like to participate in our Facebook check-in protestthis Tuesday, by ‘checking-in’ to Scott Morrison’s office, and tagging his page, with a message on how you will be affected by the cutting of the supplement. Find out more here.

**Speak To Your Community. Talk to family, friends, and others in your area about why this issue matters, and what they can do.
